UNDER CONSTRUCTION! mCLass & VPORT Accounts

Teacher assignments are still being finalized. If you have collected & verified the addresses of ALL of the Student ID Sheets for ALL of your assigned sites and you’re really itching to move forward, please send me an email so that I can expedite your work order. I’m currently testing out accounts and making sure I’ve caught all the kinks. When things are set, I will post an updated PSP Reference Guide to assist you in the set-up process for testing your students. Thank you for your patience!

OLG! mClass is DOWN!

Thanks for the heads-up Connie Frady! (Progress Monitoring should be happening approximately every 3 weeks for your kids. PM schedules may vary slightly by sites.)

“Hello. Just want you to know mClass is having trouble with their site. I hoped to begin PM today. mClass customer service rep said they don’t think it will be fixed until 1pm eastern.”

Pacing & Planning

The winter break is just around the corner… No, not yet. As we begin to make plans to close out the first semester, here are some things you might be thinking about.

Where should I be in regards to pacing my instruction and assessing my students?

-ELA: Schools will differ based on the number of days of instruction per week, but if you were at a site for 3 days a week you should be at the latter part of Adventure 4. Sites that received 2 days a week should fall somewhere at the latter part of Adventure 3. All students should have been progress monitored (DIBELS Next K-6) at least 2 different times in a target skill area(s).

-Math: Students receiving math services should have had Vmath instruction for 2 different modules. The progress of these students are to be monitored through the pre and post test for each module. All data must be entered on VPORT. Math teachers will soon be notified if they are going to continue services at the same site(s) for the second semester. If your services are extended to a new site, the math teacher must make sure that he/she administers the Progress Assessment (#2) prior to leaving a site.

Benchmark 2? MOY? CBM?

-DIBELS Next: Middle of the Year (MOY) testing is designed for students based on the time of year. Sooo, even though we have a shorter semester, we will still be assessing students right after the winter break. Benchmark 2 data will provide us with values to measure and project student performance. We will work through this process (CBM) and analyze this data together in February.

Burst?

-Please bring any questions, comments, and/or ideas to the December PSP PD. This will be an opportunity for teachers that have elected to implement Burst instruction to students in the second semester, to prepare in advance.

Ticket to Read Accounts

Ticket to Read accounts cannot be generated until data has moved from mClass to VPORT. Since the testing window was extended for those still needing time, the scheduled movement of data has been delayed. All DIBELS Next testing data should be synced by the end of the day on Friday, September 28th. Please expect the possibility of Ticket to Read accounts by the following Monday.
