Responsible & Acceptable Use Policy for District Computer and Network Systems

Dear Employees,

Attached for your review and use is a copy of the District’s policy for Responsible and Acceptable Use of District Computer and Network Systems (http://achieve.lausd.net/Page/2239).  Computer and network access plays a vital role in providing educational and operational services to students and staff in our District.  However, it is important for students and employees to be familiar with what is deemed to be “acceptable use” and “unacceptable use” when accessing both the District’s physical computers as well as network systems.  LAUSD employees and students should become familiar with the attached policy to avoid engaging in uses of computers and network systems that are unauthorized and prohibited.  Please share this information with others as appropriate.

Thank you in advance for adhering to the established computer and network system policies of the District.

Tech Support

We know, we know. Some of the iPads have been acting up and there is only one Xio to go around (town). Here are 2 ways to get your iPads back in shape, without them leaving your side.

  1. March 13th (all day @ Beaudry)- If one of your schools is closed, you might want to get your iPads fixed instead of reporting to your other site(s). If all of your sites are closed, we’ll see you anyways, so bring your iPads for a tune-up.
  2. March 18th (9-2:30 @ Pico Location)- We get requests all the time to set-up email accounts, help on using CamScanner, printing out data & student reports, etc. and ONLY (<5) a handful of teachers ever show up for the 1:1 Tech Support Session. Here’s another chance. Come see us!

Tech Support this Week.

We heard that you’re back from break and you suffered a brain freeze. It happens, it was chilly. We can help. Your iPads need to be updated before you can test? You need a Software Update. Glitches on Foxit? Software update. Forget how to print from your PSP stick to your Toshiba? We get it. Come by and we’ll see what we can do. 8:30am-2:30pm
